A leader in clean energy technology and services located in the Southeast had a SharePoint 2007 environment in one of their facilities with consistent performance issues, as well as other problems which were traceable to their migration from SharePoint 2003 to 2007. The client’s engineers noted that errors during the migration caused configuration issues, which in turn undermined their ongoing search capabilities.
ProSource was engaged to support the migration from the 2007 SharePoint environment to the 2010 SharePoint Enterprise environment, which included building a complete 2010 server farm. During the migration, ProSource handled any issues that arose and when the project was complete, they assisted with the rollout by providing end user support. In the course of the project, ProSource engineers reconciled several out-of-the-box workflow issues, and they completed the necessary steps (as requested by the client) to document that all required steps were followed. When complete, the client had migrated to a high-performing, industry-leading environment, and both their indexing and search capabilities were once again optimized.
